SUGAR RAY XULU SPONSORSHIP PACKAGES

Cedric “Sugar-Ray” Xulu is an icon in South African sports. His name will forever be written in the history books for scoring the first goal for a Black team against a White team in the apartheid era.

This was when the star studded Black XI played against the White XI. Household names such as Kaizer Motaung and Shakes Mashaba featured in that match. A significant day in South African sporting and cultural history.

This along with many other achievements earned him the Ethekwini Living Legend Award and the City of Durban also named the Clermont Stadium The Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium.

Sugar Ray Xulu’s contribution to the sport of football needs to be captured and passed on to future generations. Moreso his life achievements and experiences. This led to the formation of the Sugar Ray Xulu Benefit Programme (“Programme”) which will be administered by the AmaZulu Community Trust. This is a registered and fully audited NGO and PBO (Public Benefit Organisation). All donors to the Programme will receive a Section 18A certificate. The programme will address the following:

2. Raise funding to offer medical support to Mr Xulu as he has been diagnosed with cancer
3. Offer support to other legends in need

With this is mind the first project that will be implemented is the Sugar Ray Xulu Benefit Day. All proceeds from the day will go to The Programme. All expenses will be absorbed by AmaZulu FC thus making every cent available for the above objectives.
