Dladla family gets the perfect Christmas gift
Mr Phineus Dladla and his wife with two young children will spend the rest of their festive season in jubilation after their four room home was officially handed over to them on 20 December in Ndondwane near Empangeni.
The building of the house was made possible by Spar’s generous R100 000 sponsorship of the KZN Premiers Cup to a charity project endorsed by the KZN Department of Arts, Culture, Sport and Recreation.
“This is something one would’ve never thought could happen to. I’m thankful for God, the local leadership, AmaZulu FC, Thanda Royal Zulu and all those that were involved. This will indeed change our way of life as a family,” said Dladla.
AmaZulu Community Trust Chairman, Lunga Sokhela said of the handover: “Changing the lives of people, and leaving a legacy for the Premiers Cup is what this was all about. Contrary to perceptions football is not a big money industry, but it’s about changing people’s lives, and uniting people. “On behalf of Spar and all the teams that were involved in the Premiers Cup we’d like to thank the MEC Mam’ Councilor Sithole-Moloi and congratulate the Dladla family,’’ said Sokhela.
Thanda Royal Zulu, CEO Jomo Biyela and King Cetshwayo District Mayor, Councilor NNP Mkhulisi and Umhlathuze Mayor as well as MEC BN Sithole were all part of the proceedings.
Black Cuban Investments contributed R20 000 towards furnishing the house.
