KZN Future Stars to lighten up KwaDukuza
Usuthu first team players and coaches will be part of the KwaDukuza leg of the KZN Future Stars football spectacle which will see local primary schools and teams in competition for top honours at Stanger HS Grounds.
The Ilembe district is known for being the breeding ground of talent as first team players, Sbusiso Magaqa (18) and Nkanyiso Zungu (20) among others all hail from the sugar cane rich town.
“The club’s scouts and youth coaches will be present, and they will be on the lookout for potential talent to bring into our academy system which the likes of Sbu Magaqa and others are a part at the AmaZulu Glenwood Academy or our satellite system,” said AmaZulu Community Trust, Programs Manager Mpho Dintwa.
The KZN Future Stars is a collaborative initiative endorsed by KZN Department of Sport & Recreation which has been running from the beginning of the year through social life skills and football training programs.
The entertainment lineup will boast Ushaka Marine Fun & Entertainment mascots who are well equipped with dancing skills to liven up the young pupils.

Phongolo Coach, Mduduzi Zondo said of their achievement: “I’m happy we got the opportunity and I hope more will come in future. I’m also happy AmaZulu and KZN DSR are able to encourage the boys in building their future in and through football because it’s not easy without resources. I have to also thank the municipalities, “said Zondo.
