Usuthu commemorate World Aids Day
AmaZulu held a minute’s silence in commemoration of World Aids Day on 1 December after an afternoon training session at Princess Magogo Stadium.
Namibian international defender Willem Mwedihanga urged fellow sports heroes to use their influence to raise HIV awareness.
“It’s everybody’s duty to care for people affected by the disease and it’s also encouraging that we as a club remember this day and its importance,” said Mwedihanga.
AmaZulu also paid homage to the current running efforts to bring awareness for 16 Days of Activism against Women and children campaign. “The new event emphasizes the growth and demand of the tournament and will take place from the 10th to the 12th of October 2014, hosted by Engen’s new partner, SuperSport United Football Club.”
